KS4 Performance Data
Our 2023 GCSE results were very encouraging and show that our students have demonstrated incredible resilience through the disruption of the pandemic and have managed to secure results that compare favourably to both 2022 and 2019 on lots of the key measures.
Students who achieved a 4+ in both English and Maths – 79%
Students who achieved a 5+ in both English and Maths – 57.1%
We are proud that our students achieved a Progress 8 score of +0.39 which is the highest level our students have achieved since the introduction of this measure. Similarly, disadvantaged students achieved a Progress 8 score of +0.11, which matches our previous highest achievement for this cohort. The Attainment 8 score for all pupils was 54.4 and the Average Point Score for EBacc subjects was 4.65. More details of our students' performance and explanations of the terms used can be found here.
Early indications show that our 2024 results are on track to maintain the high standards achieved by students in the previous year. Over half our students achieved at least five strong (level 5+) passes and the percentage of students achieving a level 7 or above in both English and Maths rose by more than 5% to 20.7%. 52.6% of our students achieved a strong pass (L5+) in both Maths and English and for the standard pass (Level 4+) the figure was 72.3% , higher than the pre-pandemic figure from 2019.
This group of students joined us in Year 7 just as the pandemic was beginning, and it is to the immense credit of their parents and carers, their teachers and, of course, the students themselves that they finished Year 11 with such a great set of results.
We are delighted with the achievements of our Year 11 students who have produced a fantastic set of GCSE results which suggest we are on course for one of our highest ever Progress 8 scores, when this measure is published.
