Timings of the School Day
At SMRT, we have a two-week timetable, week 1 and week 2. Lessons are one hour long Monday - Thursday, and 50 minutes on a Friday.
The time we expect students to arrive to school varies depending on whether they have a tutor session or assembly. If students have a tutor session or assembly they need to be in the room (common room for assemblies) ready for 8.30am. If students do not have a tutor session or assembly they must arrive ready for their first lesson.
Monday to Thursday
- 08:00 - Sixth Form building open to students
- 08:30 - 09:00 Y12 have tutor every Monday or Tuesday. Y13 have tutor every Wednesday or Thursday. Y12 then have assembly on a week one on a Wednesday or Thursday. Y13 then have assembly on a week two on a Monday or Tuesday.

- 10:00 - 10:20 Break
- 10:20 - 11:20 Period 2
- 11:20 - 12:25 Period 3
- 12:25 - 13:10 Lunch
- 13:10 - 14:10 Period 4
- 14:10 - 15:15 Period 5
- 15:15 - End of school
- 16:00 - Sixth Form building closes to students
Friday
- 08:00 - Sixth Form building open to students
- 09:00 - 09:50 Period 1
- 09:50 - 10:45 Period 2
- 10:45 - 11:05 Break
- 11.05 - 11.55 Period 3
- 11:55 - 12:50 Period 4
- 12:50 - 13:35 Lunch
- 13:35 - 14:25 Period 5
