We Value Trust and Truth 2

Weekly Worship from Mrs Duzniak

Our ALIVE value this week is ‘we value trust and truth’. We live in a world where trusting people can be very difficult. Many of our role models are not always very trustworthy!

What are the qualities of a trustworthy person? Discuss this as a class and come up with some key behaviours.

You may have come up with words like this:

  • Compassionate
  • Kind
  • Authentic
  • Chooses not to gossip or spread rumours
  • Consistent
  • Reliable

Who do you know who is like this? People often let us down, but we are told that we can trust God. This is what it says in the Bible,

‘Trust God with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding. Remember the Lord in all you do, and he will give you success.’

But how do we know that God is trustworthy? Watch this video:

God will never break a promise and he will always have your back. Try and remember this throughout this term. Let us pray.

Dear God, thank you that you are kind, compassionate, reliable, consistent and authentic.  I trust you today.  I trust you when I am worried or anxious, I trust you when people I know let me down, and I trust you to help me make wise choices so that I try my best at school every day.  Help me to be a trustworthy person to my friends just like you.
Amen
